                                B.WEEK / F. Briceno
The giant $1m "Christ of the Pacific" statue now watching over Lima...was sculpted, assembled and paid for almost entirely by Brasil's construction conglomerate Odebrecht.
It also echoes Brasil's growing investments and influence in Peru...with outgoing President Garcia...and President-elect Humala...that is disturbing Peruvians.
"I have nightmares in which I see that Peru's president is Odebrecht and all we do every five years is elect its representative," tweeted Peruvian playwright Cesar de Maria.
