BRASIL: Rio's Famous Christ Statue Closed To Tourists.

BBC/    For the first time in 80 years, the road to Rio's Christ the Redeemer statue in Tijuaca National Park is closed to the public because of debris after landslides that killed at least 250 people. The Christ the Redeemer statue in 2007 was named a new wonder of the world and is visited by two million tourists a year. Park officials hope it would reopen "within one or two months."
