Political cartoonist Matador’s outrage inspires his work.
“Politics is a swamp of shit,” he says. “Anyone who gets involved gets dirty.” Matador is the pseudonym of prolific 40-year-old Julio Cesar Gonzalez, whose cartoons appear in El Tiempo, the nation's most influential newspaper. Currently what infuriates Matador is President Uribe’s desire for a third term in the 2010 elections.
