MIAMI HERALD.
Yoani Sánchez is a blogger who has gained an international following writing about the absurdities of daily life in Cuba via the internet which she calls the "virtual raft."
"Her blog exceeded four million hits last March."
``It isn't just the bloggers,'' Sánchez says. ``Little by little, the cycle of silence is coming to an end. You see this at the bus stop, in the line for eggs. It isn't that there is more tolerance, but that the people are being more daring.''
