5 crew members are reported dead...and 6 more missing...after 2 ships collided in the North Sea.
Human error is said to be the probable cause of the tragedy...though the seas were very rough...with snow and force 6 winds.
The Japanese car carrier loaded with 1,400 autos...smashed into a container ship...65 kms/40 miles from Rotterdam off the Dutch coast.
The car carrier...the Baltic Ace (foto)...sank in just 15 minutes...while the container ship...the Corvus J...though damaged...was able to proceed to Belgium.
