With 75% of the votes counted...it appears likely that President Daniel Ortega's Sandinista party has increased its local control...taking 134 of 153 mayoral positions.
In the previous 2008 election...the Sandinistas won 108 mayors.
57% of eligible voters turned-out.
Monday...at least 3 died in clashes...between Ortega supporters, riot police and opponents.
The USA has expressed concerns over voting procedures.
