Friends say murdered former Nanaimo resident Ron Mackintosh feared for his safety in Mexico...after another BC man was killed down there.
Police found former BC resident Mackintosh, 64...tied to a tree in Barra de Navidad... north of Manzanillo.
His partner says she reported him and his rescue dog...Nikko...missing on 21 October.
Mexican social media report that police have arrested 3 suspects.
A former engineer...Mackintosh retired and moved to Mexico 2 years ago.
His jeep and dog are still missing.
