PERU / CANADA : Barrick's Pierina Gold Mine Reopens...After Clashes Leave 1 Dead, 4 Injured.

      Villagers protesting Canadian run Barrick's Pierina gold mine...fearing abuse of scarce water resources...blocked roads to it for 5 days...and clashed with police...resulting in 1 death and 4 injured...including an officer.
    The mine will finally reopen...after a day of mourning for the the victims.
