This blog's editor doesn't get blindsided by the WSJ often.
It's columnist are predictable...and usually ignored.
But today's Americas column..."Panama's Democracy Goes South'...by staunch conservative and fervent Ayn Randian...Mary Anastasia O'Grady...blew my flip/flops off.
O'Grady criticizes former supermarket magnate...wealthy President Ricardo Martinelli for packing Panama's Supreme court; 'persuading'...probably with funds...23 opposition MPs to come over to his side...thus giving him greater control...and harboring desires to run for another term...though prohibited by the constitution.
O'Grady even plays the Venezuela and demagogue cards...in warning about Martinelli.
Whew!
