CUBA : Guerrilla Advertising Takes Off...Slowly.
In Cuba...the new, small and growing...business sector is pleading for something many capitalist consumers take for granted...and even try to avoid...advertising.
President Raul Castro has doled out some free market changes...but getting the word out there is still near impossible.
No advertising is allowed in newspapers or on TV...and there are no internet ads or even spam...because the internet is not available.
But slowly...desperate business owners are figuring out how to promote their services and products...via guerrilla advertising...with coupons, fliers and bumper stickers.
