ARGENTINA: Officials Claim 9.1%...Q2 Growth...Well Above Estimates.

                                         M.PRESS

Official government stats report the economy zoomed ahead by 9.1%...in Q2.
Many economists had predicted growth in the area of 5.5-5.9%.
The credibility of GDP stats is challenged because economists believe the numbers may be overstated...as inflation there appears to have long been understated.
But none deny there is rapid growth...spurred on by governmental spending ahead of an election, double digit wage and pension increases and high prices for commodities.
