Prosecutors have charged 39 people for a 2009 alleged plot to assassinate President Evo Morales and begin an armed rebellion.
Most of the accused are under arrest and deny the charges, calling them politically motivated, but 17 are currently living outside Bolivia.
Two of the most prominent charged are Santa Cruz businessman Branco Marinkovic (pictured) now in exile in America and retired General Gary Prado, known for capturing and killing guerrilla leader "Che" Guevara.
ALSO... Morales says he will recognize Palestine as an independent and sovereign state, joining Brasil, Argentina, Cuba and Venezuela. Uruguay asserts that it is also ready to recognize Palestine.
