MEXICO: Recent Rains Inflicted Serious Economic Damage.
GPOST/ Recent rains from Hurricane Alex and Tropical Storm Bonnie have devastated the economy. The governor of Nuevo Leon state has asked the federal government for $1 billion to reconstruct it. Nuevo Leon accounts for 8% of Mexico’s total economy — even though it has only 4% of the population.
