CUBA: Judge Sentences U.S. Spy To Life Without Parole.
ALJAZEERA/ Walter Kendall Myers, 72, a retired State Department worker with top security clearance was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for spying for Cuba for three decades. His wife Gwendolyn got an 81 months sentence for helping her husband steal secrets. US District Judge Reggie Walton said the pair deserved heavy punishment for betraying the United States.
