COLOMBIA; U.S. Denies Visa To Controversial Journalist.

AP/MIAMI HERALD/      Hollman Morris, 41, a well-known Colombian journalist who covers conflict and human rights, has been denied a visa by the U.S. to participate in a Nieman fellowship at Harvard. Morris produces an independent TV news program called "Contravia" which has been critical of ties between militias and allies of President Alvaro Uribe. "We were very surprised. This has never happened before," said the Nieman curator, Bob Giles. "And Hollman has traveled previously in the United States to give speeches and receive awards."
