VENEZUELA: Ex-Chavez Ally And Defense Minister Get 8-Years In Jail.
BBC/ Raul Baduel, a former defense minister and key Hugo Chavez ally was sentenced to almost eight years in prison for corruption. Baduel defended Chavez in 2002 when he was ousted by a coup. But they parted ways in 2007 and Baduel was later arrested on corruption charges. Baduel was a founding member of Chavez's revolutionary movement, MVR-200.
