REUTERS/ Possible presidential candidate, conservative lawmaker Keiko Fujimori, believes voters will "choose the responsible option" in 2011 and not choose a leftist.
Fujimori, 34, may face fellow conservative Lima Mayor Luis Castaneda. They are nearly tied in opinion polls. Fujimori blames pro-investment President Alan Garcia for neglecting violence from controversial oil and mining projects in the Amazon and small Andean towns. Her father, former President Alberto Fujimori, was convicted last year for his role in ordering a death squad to attack insurgents.
