EUROLAND: Tax Evasion In Greece Is A National Sport.
NYTIMES/ The government estimates that Greece may be losing as much as $30 billion a year to tax evasion — money that would help solve its debt problems. Some of biggest tax evaders are the self-employed in a nation composed of small businesses... from taxi drivers, restaurant owners, electricians, engineers, architects to lawyers and doctors. But going after the tax cheats will not be easy because escaping taxes is part of the culture.
