DAILY TEXAN/ Karl Rove, chief political strategist for former President George W. Bush and the Republican party, was met with applause and boos during a speech hosted by College Republicans at the Texas Union Ballroom. Organizers expected protestors and had bulked-up on security. There were protestors from Code Pink, We Are Change and a UT Chicano civil rights group MEChA with signs accusing Rove of war crimes.
