Two decades after overthrowing the Communists, some politicians want to ban the Czech Communist Party, the last in the EU's former Soviet bloc.
“The Communists ruined this country and oppressed freedom and yet here they are 20 years later in our Parliament,” said artist David Cerny.“It is a national disgrace. The Communists are endangering the country. The Czechs need to wake up.” The anti-communists say they are defending democracy while working to ban a party that is the third largest in parliament.
