BOLIVIA: 5 Mar. UPDATE: Evo Still Says "No" To U.S. Drug Agency.

 "Cocaine is resurgent in Bolivia," said professor Bruce Bagley. "Morales has a big problem on his hands."
  But President Evo Morales will not invite U.S. drug agents back to Bolivia despite recent failures and embarrassments in drug enforcement.
   Just last week, a DEA sting trapped Gen.Rene Sanabria, Morales' former chief of anti-drug police.
   Morales claims "interests of a geopolitical nature" were behind the Sanabria case. "They are using police to try to implicate the government," he said.
   In 2008, Morales expelled all of some 30 DEA 30 agents.

PANAMA / BOLIVIA / Morales' Ex-Drug Chief Arrested...For Drug Trafficking.

   Gen. Rene Sanabria, the former commander of Bolivia's anti-narcotics police force, is under arrest in Panama for drug trafficking.
  Sanabria headed the anti-drug agency until 2009 and was still working there as an adviser.
   He was immediately transferred to the US to face trial.
   Bolivia along with Venezuela and Burma is on the US list of countries that fail to meet international counter narcotics obligations.
