       In an upscale neighborhood in Cd Juarez, police discovered anti-aircraft guns, grenades, a grenade launcher, AK-47s, machine guns, rifles, a shotgun and more than 26,000 ammunition cartridges...hidden behind mirrors in a basement exercise room.
      The secret room also held more than 50 military uniforms, bulletproof vests and gas masks.
      Three money-counting machines were also found.

MEXICO: 15 Dead In 2 More Cd. Juarez Bar Attacks.

    It's getting even more dangerous to have a drink in a Cuidad Juarez bar.
    Armed men killed five people at a bar called La Barritas, opening fire from outside and then hurtling Molotov cocktails inside...burning most victims beyond recognition.
   Ten others were murdered at another bar, El Castillo, near the U.S. border.
   At least a dozen gunmen entered the bar and opened fire.

   Former Tijuana police chief Julian Leyzaola has been named public safety secretary for Cd Juarez.
   Retired army colonel Leyzaola is credited with cleaning-up and restoring law and order in Tijuana...but critics there accuse him of brutality, taking part in the torture and beatings of suspect police officers.

    Some Mexican lawmakers want to ban the computer game "Call of Juarez: The Cartel," based on violent drug shootouts in Cd. Juarez between narco gangs.
   "But we also should not expose children to this kind of scenarios so that they are going to grow up with this kind of image and lack of values," said Chihuahua congressman Ricardo Boone Salmon.
    The game by france's Ubisoft Entertainment will be released late in 2011.
    In one of the most violent weekends in Cd. Juarez history, at least 40 people were killed in Cd. Juarez since Friday.

     Cd. Juarez's mayor also wants the video game set in his border city to be banned and may even sue the company for defamation.
   “All of us Juarez residents join this effort. I believe that none of us enjoys having a video game going around here that shows the violence in Juarez, especially one that ends up in the hands of children, the young people,” the mayor said. “No one in their right mind can be against banning the release of this video (game),” said Mayor Hector Murguia.

MEXICO: Despite Risks, Business Proceeds In Bloody Cd. Juarez.

    Since June 2009, more than 24,000 manufacturing jobs were added in Juárez while tractor-trailer traffic increased by 22 percent from January to June of 2010.
   At the same time, there were more than 2,600 killings in Juárez in 2009 and the city is on pace to exceed 3,000 homicides in 2010.
    AND: Yet...."the jobs added in the last year and a half are only a quarter of what was lost during the height of the recession," said trade exec Bob Cook. The job loss “is in the manufacturing and distribution side,” he said. “You absolutely see a complete tie-in with the economy and not with the violence.”

MEXICO: Another House Party Massacre In Cd. Juarez With 13 Dead, 15 Wounded.

ALJAREERA/     Gunmen in three cars sprayed a house party with assault weapons in Cd. Juarez around 11 p.m. Friday, killing at least 13 young people and wounding at least 15. The dead were aged 14 to 20 including a gravely wounded 9-year-old child.
     The murders occurred in a working class neighborhood near the location of similar house party massacre nine months ago where 15 people were slain, most of them teenagers.
