President Viktor Yanukovych cancelled a 2-day regional summit in Yalta...after 13 countries cancelled their attendance over the alleged beating of his outspoken opponent, imprisoned former PM Yulia Tymoshenko.
The presidents of Germany, Austria, Italy, Croatia, Estonia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and others all refused to visit the Black Sea resort after the beatings allegations broke.
Poland's President Bronislaw Komorowski had vowed to bring up Yulia's beating and untreated illness at the summit.
