As Austin, Texas afternoon temps begin to creep into the 90's/38-39 C...this news blog's initial daily post/links will begin some 2 hours later...around 12 Noon CDT.
Because of the changing temps...iced coffee has already replaced hot java...and cold cereal...served with frozen strawberries and coconut milk...has replaced hot oatmeal with dried cranberries and cinnamon.
Now...the daily 75 minute afternoon trot...has turned into an early morning plod.
Despite the physical punishment...there is more good news about regular running.
It reportedly adds an average 6.2 years to a male's life...and 5.6 years for women.
The editor has been running for decades...since high school track...and will continue...but now in the slightly cooler mornings.
