      The USA and EU have condemned the 4-year jail sentence for former interior minister Yuri Lutsenko.
      Lutsenko, 47, is an ally of imprisoned ex-PM Yulia Tymoshenko.
      He was convicted of embezzlement and abuse of power.
      His sentencing means it is unlikely Yulia would be freed soon...even after Ukraine's President Viktor Yanukovich hinted last week that her pardon was possible after all appeals were exhausted...and he was petitioned.
