    So much of Brasil's music comes from the infamous former slave port of Salvador in the state of Bahia.


    Daniela Mercury...with today's sample selection...'Nobre Vagabundo'...was born in Salvador.


    Her music almost always features a lively beat...perfect to start a new work week.


    It's worth mentioning that Mercury raised  many eyebrows in opposing extremely popular ex-President Lula da Silva's second term...because of widespread corruption in his party.
    Now...growing anti-corruption protests are the cause du jour/'por causa do dia'...in Brasil.
