ITALY: Despite More Austerity For The Public...MPs Protect Their Pay And Perks.

   After passing harsh new E40bn...4-year austerity measures...PM Berlusconi's Freedom Party  went ahead and watered down proposed MP pay cuts...currently e66k...after taxes. 
   They also have many more benefits...that went untouched!
   A union leader there said: "The government and opposition have teamed up to protect privileges unequaled in Europe."
