COLOMBIA: Ex-Colonel Borja Giraldo Sentenced To 21 Years For Masquerading Murdered Civilians As Rebels.

  A court sentenced Col. Luis Fernando Borja Giraldo to 21 years in jail because his unit killed civilians and dressed them as FARC rebels...in the so-called "false positives" controversy.
  Borja Giraldo is the highest-ranking official convicted so far.
  His sentence was reduced from 42 years because he confessed...and also gave names of others involved.
  More than 1,400 cases with thousands of victims remain to be investigated.
