VENEZUELA: Food Price Caps Rise...Some By 48%.

   The government has raised price caps on some food products by as much as 48% to cope with imported food costs.
    Venezuela is a net importer of food...which is the principal driver of inflation there.
   Consumer prices rose 27.4% in March from 2010.
   The price of powdered milk in cans was raised 48% and corn oil increased... by 36%.
