After 11 days of clashes over wages throughout Bolivia, trade unions agreed to end their general strike.
They will accept the government's slightly improved offer of an 11% pay increase for 2011.
Stone-throwing protesters had blocked La Paz's main streets for days in clashes with police lobbing tear-gas.
Teachers and health workers had demanded a 15% pay increase to keep up with food inflation.
Protests and blockades were also reported in Cochabamba, Santa Cruz and Tarija.
In El Alto, 5,000 teachers clashed for 5 hours with 700 police. Four protestors were injured.
