Talk about the current "bad blood" between Presidents Obama and Calderon!
A U.S. agent has told CBS News that he was ordered to allow trafficking of guns to Mexico to build a legal case against smugglers in "Operation Fast and Furious".
“The idea was to see where the guns ended up, build a big case and take down a cartel. And it was all kept secret from Mexico,”according to Phoenix, Arizona ATF agent John Dodson.
More than 35,000 people have died in Mexico from narco violence over the past four years.
Calderon has complained bitterly and often about the U.S.'s inablity to stop automatic weapons being imported in to his nation.
After the CBS revelations, US Attorney General Eric Holder has asked for a review.
