CHILE: La Nina Drought May Force Energy Rationing; Central Bank Continues $ USD Purchases To Restrain Peso.

   The most powerful La Niña in 35 years has reduced rainfall by up to 46%.
   Many reservoir water levels needed for hydroelectric generators have dropped dramatically.
   The La Paloma reservoir in the Coquimbo Region is 74% below capacity.

ALSO: The central bank announced a continuation of buying $50 million usd daily until 8 March to restrain the strong peso.
It has accumulated 1.25 billion USD so far this year on a pace for $12 BILLION usd.
