VENEZUELA: Chavez Names Controversial General Rangel Silva Chief Of Armed Forces.

AP/
President Hugo Chavez has named Henry Rangel Silva General-in-Chief.
It has stirred-up controversy because Rangel Silva recently said the military wouldn't tolerate any new opposition government in 2012 because he believed that it would try to “sell” the country.
Rangel Silva was also allegedly connected to a businessman who smuggled $800,000 usd into Argentina to help President Cristina Kirchner.
