Authorities holding drug kingpin and alleged assassin Edgar Valdez Villarreal, 37, aka “La Barbie,” say he is a fountain of information about the drug trade and is unabashedly sharing it. Captured in late August, the federal police have released videotapes of Valdez talking about transporting narcotics that are fascinating the nation, even being sold as dvds on the street. In them, Valdez trashes his rivals and dishes dirt about the nation's drug lords. The tapes may even be giving Mexicans a needed psychological lift as their nation struggles against the narco terrorists and the ever growing violence.
