VENEZUELA: Jailed Opposition Leader Charged With Conspiracy And Hiding Explosives.

AP/     Alejandro Pena Esclusa, the jailed leader of the Fuerza Solidaria group opposed to President Hugo Chavez, has been charged with hiding detonators and C-4 explosives in his apartment. He was first arrested on July 12. Pena has responded in writing that "the accusations against me are a farce. The authorities know that very well, because it was the government that orchestrated the case and ordered evidence 'planted' in my home." He accused the police of stealing money, electronic items and other belongings.
