SLOVAKIA: Miskov Hopes For A "Singapore Of Eastern Europe."
BLOOMBERG/ Radoslav Tomek/ Economy Minister Juraj Miskov, 37, wants to eliminate red tape and relax labor laws to attract investors to what he calls "the Singapore of eastern Europe." “We want to reverse all measures that have worsened the business environment,” said Miskov.“We will be able to brand Slovakia as the Singapore of central and eastern Europe.” Slovakia must compete with neighboring Hungary and the Czech Republic for international investment.
