DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: Italian Held For $1.5 Million Ransom.
AP/ Police report that kidnappers are demanding $1.5 million (usd) for the release of Italian national Federico Dalmasso, 36. He was abducted Wednesday night from his home in the Boca Chica, 20 miles (35 kilometers) east of Santo Domingo. Dalmasso is married to a Dominican and owns a popular restaurant in the small town popular with Italian tourists.
