COLOMBIA: BP Sells Assets To Ecopetrol/Talisman For $1.9 BIllion.
BLOOMBERG/ Seeking to raise cash to pay for its Gulf oil disaster, BP agreed to sell its Colombian fields to the state oil company Ecopetrol and Talisman for $1.9 billion in cash. Ecopetrol will take 51% of production with Talisman the rest. The older fields yield about 25,000 barrels of oil and gas a day and have about 60 million barrels of oil in proved reserves.
