ARGENTINA: Kirchners Popularity Surging.
WSJ/ President Cristina Kirchner's popularity has risen to about 32%, 9 points since September as her nation's economy grows at about 7% even with high inflation of 25%. Her resurgence could set the stage for the return of her husband and former president Nestor for a October 2011 election. Cristina's government has amassed a multibillion-dollar budgetary war chest for patronage and public spending. Nestor Kirchner was mostly written off a year ago after his legislative ticket was outpolled in midterm elections.
