MEXICO: Near Economic Shutdown Predicted For Friday Soccer Match Vs So. Africa.
LATIMES/ When Mexico takes on So. Africa Friday, much of Mexico will be watching. Businesses and schools were told by the government to provide TVs for the face-off – or risk no workers or students. Mexico may have its strongest national team ever. And everyone here took note that Mexico defeated current title holder Italy last week in a prelim practice match.
