POLAND: Nat Gas Drilling To Begin; Investment Banks Open Offices To Sell State Assets.

BUSINESS WEEK/     Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, UBS and Morgan Stanley are among banks expanding in Poland as the government plans to raise a record $10 billion through asset sales. Poland is a key part of our emerging-markets equities business in Europe,” writes Guy Rigden of Credit Suisse.
Meanwhile, ConocoPhillips, and partner Lane Energy Poland will start drilling their first exploratory well for natural gas in a Polish shale formation next month.
