COLOMBIA: Summary of EFE Interview With Antanas Mockus.
LAHT/ Green Party presidential candidate Antanas Mockus wants to normalize trade ties with Venezuela and use diplomacy to resolve frictions developed under current President Alvaro Uribe. Mockus believes Colombia can only reach economic potential with the support of its neighbors. “We’ll have maybe 10 years of a mining boom, but that’s not enough; we don’t want to be illiterates (who can’t think beyond) coal and oil," he said.
