EUROLAND: Four German Pensioners Convicted Of Kidnapping Financial Advisor.
BBC/ Four German pensioners, aged 61 to 80, who abducted financial advisor James Amburn and tried to force him to refund 2.5m euro ($3.4mUSD) in lost investments were found guilty of kidnapping. The judge in Traunstein, Bavaria, ruled that people could not take the law into their own hands in Germany. The 74-year-old ringleader, architect Roland Kaspar, was sentenced to 6 years in prison, his male accomplice, 61, was sentenced to 4 years. Two women received suspended sentences. One suspect remains to be tried due to ill health.
