BRASIL: Proposes Trade Tariffs In 30 days On 100 U.S. Goods.
BBC/ With WTO approval, Brasil announced new trade sanctions against a list of 100 American goods claiming "illegal" U.S. subsidies for cotton farmers. The sanctions take effect in 30 days unless a deal is negotiated. Tariffs would rise on $591m of U.S. products-- from cars to powdered milk. The tariff on cotton and cotton products would be increased by 100%.
