BBC/ Greece's Deputy Prime Minister Theodoros Pangalos has mucked-up German relations with bitter comments about its Nazi past that could complicate his nation's credit crisis. Pangalos told the BBC that Germany never paid full reparations for the Nazis' World War II invasion and occupation of Greece. "They took away the Greek money and they never gave it back." These painful reminders come as polls reveal nearly two-thirds of Germans oppose bailing out Greece. In Athens, an estimated 25,000 protested, shouting anti-government slogans in a one-day strike. A few molotov cocktails were thrown and police fired tear-gas.
