Haitian Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive now believes that several hundred thousand people may have died in the powerful 7.0 earthquake.
The number of dead and missing keeps escalating with at least 100 UN officials and peacekeepers from Brasil, China and Jordan among the many victims. The U.N.'s mission includes 7,000 peacekeeping troops, 2,000 international police, 490 international civilian staffers, 1,200 local civilian staffers and 200 U.N. volunteers.
