Right-wing billionaire Sebastian Pinera's victory as president is a sign of the convergence of left and right agendas in Latin America.
“Latin America is not swinging in one direction or another; it is swinging in many different directions at the same time,” said expert Michael Shifter.
“The political center is the only part of the electorate that has increased in Latin America in the last decade,” said pollster Marta Lagos.
