President Lula da Silva will soon fly to Copenhagen for a Oct. 2 vote that will decide the 2016 Olympic site from among Chicago, Tokyo, Madrid and Rio. Though he will mention the nation's magnificent beaches he will also talk-up Brazil's emergence as a new economic power, deserving to represent South America, which has never hosted the Olympics.
