Brasil's LAN Houses Provide Internet To Underserved.

LAN houses started in Brasil in 1998 but were found only in the rich neighborhoods. Now they are found everywhere, especially in poorer communities like favelas, where individual computers and broadband connections are beyond the economic reach of the population.
Now there are over 90,000 LAN houses in Brasil, which account for 50% of the Internet access in the country.
