RUSSIA : Miss Russia Defends Pussy Riot Punkers; 4 Detained After Small Moscow Pussy Riot Protest.

      The young woman chosen as the newest 'Miss Russia' came to the defense of the 3 women arrested and jailed for performing a 45 second anti-Putin song in Moscow's Orthodox cathedral.

     Elmira Abdrazakova, 18...an ethnic Tatar...said the Pussy Riot collective's women should not have been sentenced to 2 years.
     She believes it would have been better to talk with them.
     Because she is Tatar...some extreme nationalists protested her selection online.

     The beautiful brunette's decision to contradict President Putin publicly is considered bold and brave...for a celebrity.
     53% of Russians thought the women's sentences were fair.

         On Friday...at least 4 Pussy Riot supporters were 'detained' by police after a small protest in Moscow...on International Women's Day.
